Designer of the Month: Jessica Hogarth

Our ‘Designer of the Month’ for April is Jessica Hogarth. She is a freelance surface pattern and textile designer.

Jessica graduated from Leeds College of Art in 2010 with a first class honours degree in Printed Textiles and Surface Pattern Design. A Manchester based company then offered her an in-house design position where she worked on designs for interior fabrics and paper products. Jessica decided to set up her own business (‘Jessica Hogarth Designs’) which launched in April 2012.

'Jessica Hogarth Designs’ focuses on marketing an individual product range as well as working on freelance project designs. Jessica’s work typically depicts images of daily life and places she has visited. She likes to use an illustrative approach and bold colours. Clients include John Lewis, Zanerobe and Trim Craft.

Winning the ‘Confessions of a Design Geek’ bursary in December 2012 was a big achievement for Jessica. She was also shortlisted in 2013 for a Henries award for ‘Most Promising Young Designer’.

We think the unique designs Jessica creates are brilliant. If you would like to see more of her work, please visit her website: www.jessicahogarth.com
