Designer of the Month: Serena Hall

October’s ‘Designer of the Month’ is Serena Hall. Serena is a full time professional artist who works predominantly with paint, mixed media and ceramics.

Serena grew up in a very creative family who encouraged her artistic career. Having graduated in 1995 from Edinburgh College of Art, she opened her first gallery in 1999. Serena’s studio (a converted squash club) and home are in Southwold. Southwold and the surrounding area are a huge influence to her. She likes to use a variety of colour as well as experiment with pattern and texture.

His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales, holds some of Serena’s work in his private collection. The gallery has been shortlisted for Country Living’s ‘Best Rural Business’ award and has been voted ‘Number One Best Gallery’ by Coast Magazine.
