Our first ‘Designer of the Month’ for 2015 is Sam Wilson. Sam converts her beautiful drawings, paintings and prints into a range of home accessories.
Sam’s original line drawing style, loose bold brushwork and traditional printmaking methods combine to create a unique style which is evident throughout her range of products. She takes inspiration from her surroundings in the Cotswolds. Nature, gardens and animals often feature in her artwork as well as old bicycles as she has an addiction to these!
Sam studied at Cheltenham University where she gained a first class honours degree. She then achieved an MA in design at Kingston University. As well as being a freelance artist and illustrator, Sam has also set up her own illustration company with her husband called ‘Eye Candy Illustration Agency’.
