Designer of the Month: Laura Jayne Fisk
August’s ‘Designer of the Month’ is Laura Jayne Fisk. Laura predominantly uses pencil or pen and ink as her chosen media.
Laura has a degree in prosthetics, wig making and make up for TV and theatre which she gained at The London College of Fashion. Whilst working freelance, Laura was chosen to make wigs for the London musical ‘The Lion King.’
Living in the country, Laura is inspired by the local wildlife which surrounds her. Her finished pieces have a great sense of humour which is added to by the naming of her animals.
A great deal of Laura’s time is now taken up being a full time mum. Previous to this, she was an art, photography and textiles teacher having completed her PGCE in secondary school art teaching. She enjoys being a freelance artist and creating originals, prints, cards and luxury home accessories.
