National Pet Month

From the 1st April to the 2nd May it is National Pet Month. Now in its 27th year the aim is to promote responsible pet ownership and celebrate the impact pets have on our lives. You can find more information about the National Pet Month Charity here at www.nationalpetmonth.org.uk

In 2015 it was estimated that 12m (46%) UK households have pets. The current pet population stands at around 58 million! Dogs are the top runners with 24%, cats are a close second on 17% and in third place is was indoor fish at 9%. It’s clear to see we are a nation of pet lovers.

We definitely have some of those pet lovers in our team, with pets ranging from Goldfish to Horses. Anna in fact has 5 horses (Helen isn’t far behind with 4 ….. Goldfish that is). In 2015 Anna qualified for the Horse of the Year Show and the Royal International on her horses Sky & Patch which was a massive accomplishment.
