Our new long awaited sewing room is here! Our fantastic seamstresses Renata and Sarah now officially have a place to call their home for the working week. Prior to this, Renata had been braving it carrying out all of her work in the small front lobby of our second factory.
With an increase of requests for hemming and customers labels being sewn in, we knew that we needed to arrange something much more professional and comfortable for Renata. We also knew that she was going to need an extra pair of hands and that’s where Sarah comes in.
Chris, a close friend of Stuarts, designed the room with the help of one of our own workers, David. Starting in May, it has taken 2 months of planning and hard work to achieve the finished room and we must say boys it looks great.
The room was built from scratch from the base, walls and bespoke staircase to the finished touches of painting and fantastic new lights installed by David. The room is situated above our digital printer and they have also extended the room below the sewing room which will house the arrival of a second digital machine (keep an eye on our blog for its big reveal!). With the room complete came to arrival of everyone’s enemy… flat pack furniture. David and Steve (our art director) made quick work of the furniture. With new tables, shelving and storage all in place, it was time for the stars of the show (second place to our lovely seamstresses of course) the sewing machines. And now we are up and running!
With our in house sewing facility we are able to meet any special requirements you may request. Whether its hemming, own labels, wash care labels or hanging loops these can all be added with finishing available in a variety of colours.
