Hannah Carding

Hannah is a freelance Artist, Illustrator and Art Educator. After 6 years of living in London, she has now moved back to the picturesque West Country.

Hannah explains that for her, art is about noticing things and trying to get things noticed. Her pictures often have a narrative running through them, and convey a sense of the unusual, where humor, pathos and tenderness mingle. Creating this sense of narrative is important to her, even if it’s just a subtle look or gesture between two characters. 

The inspiration for her work comes from a mixture of actual and imaginary creatures as well as people from observational sketching. As well as producing commissions for a variety of museums, Hannah also runs bespoke art workshops in museums, galleries, community art groups and mental health organisations.
