🎨 Meet the Artist: Leanda Jaine – Bringing Colour, Character & Creativity to Fabric

Here at Stuart Morris, we love nothing more than collaborating with brilliant artists and helping them turn their creative visions into high-quality printed textiles. So when Leanda Jaine came to our Suffolk studio to see her latest fabric designs being brought to life, we couldn’t wait to catch up with her! 💬

Leanda first found us a few years ago through her friend and fellow artist Lottie Day. What started as a commission for wedding tea towels has grown into a long-standing creative partnership. These days, she’s busy running a colourful business selling her own handmade lampshades, fabric by the metre, aprons, bags and more — all infused with her joyful, illustrative style. 🌈🛍️

👩‍🎨 About Leanda Jaine

Leanda graduated with a first-class Illustration degree from Norwich University of the Arts in 2014, and later completed an artist residency in Norwich. She set up her first print studio not long after, laying the groundwork for her thriving creative business.

From her nostalgic A-Z of Norwich prints to her colourful lampshades, every piece is inspired by the world around her — full of personality, fun, and warmth. She’s exhibited in both the UK and Spain and has been commissioned by Midhurst County Council and the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.

During her visit, we filmed a short chat about the process — here’s what she had to say:

“I use Stuart Morris because I found them a few years ago through a friend, Lottie Day. They printed some commission work for me — wedding tea towels. A few years on from there, I've developed my own business and needed to get some fabric samples printed for lampshades and fabric on the roll.

Stuart Morris has been absolutely brilliant this time. Today we’ve been working to get the colours right — and they’re looking absolutely brilliant! We’ve tweaked a few, but generally, they’ve come out absolutely perfect. The quality is spot on.

I love working alongside these people. They do exactly what you want them to do, and always come up with something that is above and beyond what you’re looking for. I’m very happy.”
