Meet the Team: Ryan

🖨️ Precision, passion, and a love for lime green — meet the man behind the digital machines.

In the latest edition of our Meet the Team series, we caught up with Ryan, our talented Digital Print Coordinator, who’s been an integral part of the Stuart Morris team since August 2018. With nearly seven years under his belt, Ryan brings both experience and passion to the heart of our digital print department.

👨‍💻 What does a typical day look like?

“No two days are ever quite the same,” Ryan says — and it shows. His mornings start with prepping and cleaning the digital machines before jumping into a full day of managing production. From printing, cutting, drying, sewing, and packing, to supporting his team and working closely with the art department, Ryan wears many hats (and usually all at once). “I’m always busy,” he adds, and we believe it!

💬 What do you love most about working here?

For Ryan, it’s all about the team spirit and being at the forefront of digital print technology. “It’s interesting seeing all the new advancements and how they change the way I work. When customers visit and see the process, it makes me appreciate how cool my job really is — they always have so many questions!”

🎨 Favourite design recently?

Ryan’s got a soft spot for the vibrant sewing kit designs one of our customers regularly sends in. “They're always really colourful and well made — a pleasure to print!”

🐶 If you could design your own tea towel?

“Dogs or cars — 100%,” Ryan says without hesitation. (We vote for a dog driving a race car, but that’s just us.)

🤔 What’s something people might not realise about your role?

The level of organisation required each day. “With so many different fabrics, order types, and timings, every job needs careful planning to keep everything running smoothly.” It’s clear Ryan’s role is as much about logistics as it is about creativity.

🏁 What do you enjoy outside of work?

Ryan’s a man of many hobbies. From playing Gran Turismo, drawing, listening to music, and car photography, to his latest passion — running. He’s also a loyal follower of the British Touring Car Championship (a hint to that car-themed tea towel idea, perhaps?).

🙌 Best part of being on the Stuart Morris team?

“When everyone pulls together to get a job done, even if it means helping out in other departments. Knowing you’ve done your bit — it’s a great feeling.”
