Totem Pole Painting – Stuart’s Latest Art Work

You can probably tell from our website that we love a splash of colour here at Stuart Morris.  If you dig around a little you will find that this is something that can be traced back to Stuart himself. An art and design graduate and former lecturer on the subject, Stuart is constantly creating works of art in ways that are not particularly conventional. Take his latest project for example, a set of brightly coloured totem poles some of which are over 12 feet tall. Stuart took the poles out to be photographed in a woodland clearing in Sutton over the weekend. The results were these fantastic shots that we just had to share with you . The multi-coloured poles create a striking contrast against the clear and crisp blue sky and the golden green trees for which the annual autumnal transformation has begun.

Stuart loves to use nature as the backdrop for his art work by painting on rocks, trees and even sand and then photographing it. These photographs are normally turned in to sequential collages, something for which Stuart is very well known. A lot of Stuarts work is also impacted by his love of ethnic and primitive art and the shapes and colours used in it
