Designer of the Month: Heather Raeburn
An acute attention to detail is what you can expect to find in the beautiful works of ‘botanical artist’ Heather Raeburn. In fact, so striking and realistic are Heather’s flora-inspired images that she has even been invited to exhibit at the Royal Horticultural Society in London.

This has been a dream come true for an artist who had long held ambitions to create art in this medium. No one is better qualified either; Heather’s career began at the Edinburgh College of Art before progressing on to illustration and portraits. Then in 2006 she began studying at the RHS and the rest, as they say, is history.
Whatever images Heather creates - sweet pea, ‘golden queen’,
fuchsia, fern or a simple sprig of holly - they are so beautifully and realistically painted that they almost seem to be growing from the very surface they have been committed to.
However seeing these images on a screen does not do them justice. Take the word of one of Heather’s own customers who observed that “no one captures the detailed beauty of the living plant quite like Heather Raeburn.”
We work alongside Heather to print her designs on to tea towels and have enjoyed a long relationship with this talented lady. Long may it continue! You can see some of her designs below.
