Designer of the Month: Jenni Desmond

Jenni Desmond (July’s ‘Designer of the Month’) uses the media of collage, paint and pencil crayons. Once she has created the artwork by hand, she scans it into the computer to edit. Jenni specialises in illustrating books, being a freelance artist and an author. In addition to this, she works with textiles and cards.

Jenni gained a BA degree in English and Art History in 2006 and then went on to complete her MA in Children’s Book Illustration in 2011.

Some of Jenni’s clients include Walker Books, National Portrait Gallery and NEXT. Jenni has been the illustrator for the BP Portrait Award Family Trail at the National Portrait Gallery.
