Gideon Irving
It’s true his name is Gideon! We have had the pleasure of working with Gideon for almost a year now and right from day 1 we loved the energy and passion he puts into, not only his music, but everything he does.
Since a tiny tot Gideon had been writing his own songs and in 2007 he started playing the banjo. His songs have a number of influences including Garage Folk, West African Griot Music, Broadway show tunes, Traditional Irish and chocolate croissants… yes the food!
In 2012 he took to the road for his "Way over there tour" travelling across New Zealand on his bike with his array of instruments towed behind him in a trailer. Since then he has travelled across England, Scotland, Germany, Canada USA, and NYC so far and has brought his two solo shows and his two man show, The Gideon and Hubcap Show, to over 500 homes. For a short while in NYC his bike and trailer where traded in for some Rollerblades and a modified sopping cart to help him get from show to show. Now that's one way to avoid traffic jams!
We are pleased to say that he's back to the UK for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival from the 4th August.
You can check out his website and Facebook page for all of the information. You can also preview and purchase his album “My brother is Isaac” on the links below.
